Known for their famous slogan "COMRADES POWER", the UoN alumni have done pretty well in the Kenyan political arena. This is evident since the days of James Orengo and Kabando wa Kabando, the current Kenyan parliament consists of 18% Uon comrades.
In the forthcoming national election according to IPSOS, the following ex-comrades stand a high chance to represent their people in various capacities.
1. Newton Khamasi (Pictured above)
The ever aggressive Newton is known for his undying spirit to fight for his people. He has served in various capacities as a student leader and an advisor to the Westlands MP on Youth Matters.
He has been seen taking the front line in demonstrations ending up in police cells more oftenly.
Newton is vying for the MCA seat in the upper Savannah ward of Embakasi East constituency.

Babu Owino - The most controversial SONU chairman ever. The best Schemer of our time.
Babu has managed to retain the chairmanship for over 5 years with the UoN administration ever yielding to his demands. Babu merits on the ability to know when to fight, how to do it and when to stop, all to his advantage. He tried once vying for MP of westlands but lost to Hon. Tim Wanyonyi during the ODM primaries.
Babu is currently vying for MP of Embakasi East Constituency, Vying against Hon Bhutto.
Word from the ground indicates that Babu is having a smoother ride that what he recieved in Westlands.
3. Vincent Kigen
This Jubilee diehard received blessings from H.E.the DP together with the current Kericho senator.
Kigen served as the 1st vice chairperson under Babu Owino in the year 2011.
He is known for his tough action plan, at the same time a Staunch evangelist. Rumor has it that Kigen had to forcefully marry in order to prove to the people that he can manage a family, therefore he can manage Kipkelion East.
Other former comrades with political intrests include David Osiany, Humphrey Njiru, Obare Thomas, Ngaruiya KJ etc. we wish our comrades well as they have taken this new paths.
